Our mission at Honeybee Dance is to buzz with excitement and empower young bees to fly with the rhythm and beat. With our hive of talent, we'll provide a space where music and dance can come alive, and every child can thrive. We celebrate all genres, from hip-hop to the classics, and encourage each child to find their own unique style that's made of magic. So let's buzz and soar, Honeybee dancers, our mantra will always be: 'Dance like a bee, show the world your honeycomb glee!
Our Classes
We offer a wide range of classes for dancers of all ages and skill levels, from ballet and tap to hip hop and contemporary. Our classes are designed to help our students develop their technique, build strength and flexibility, and express themselves through movement.
Founder/Instructor Honey Wright
Dancing since the age of 4, Haleema "HONEY" Wright has woven a mesmerizing tapestry of movement over a remarkable 25-year journey. A force to be reckoned with, she earned her stripes as a top 23 contestant on the inaugural season of "So You Think You Can Dance," setting the stage for an illustrious career. Haleema honed her craft at the prestigious Valencia Performing Arts School, where she laid the foundation for her distinctive style.
Having worked under the tutelage of the legendary Debbie Allen from "Fame," Haleema has imbibed the essence of true artistry and performance. Her passion for dance has taken her across the nation, teaching in numerous studios from the sun-soaked California to the scenic landscapes of West Virginia. The magic of Disney became her canvas, and she painted her artistry as part of the enchanting world of dance. Haleema's journey also includes gracing the stage as a background dancer for Kaya Jones, formerly of the Pussycat Dolls.
Now, Haleema "HONEY" Wright embarks on a new chapter, bringing a wealth of experience and an undying love for dance to her own course. Join her at Honeybee Dance, where every step tells a story, and the rhythm of life is celebrated with grace and flair.
Instructor Kirstin Yvonne Bangs
As a prominent public figure and the reigning Miss Globe USA , Kirsten Yvonne Bangs brings a wealth of talent and passion to Honeybee Dance. A seasoned dancer, performer, and former NFL cheerleader, Kirsten has captivated audiences with her dynamic presence and artistry. Hailing from a rich Trinidadian-American background, her dance style is a beautiful fusion of cultural influences, making each class a celebration of diversity and rhythm.
Kirsten extends her expertise to aspiring dancers as a dedicated teacher at Honeybee Dance. With an impressive background in various dance genres, she imparts not only technical skills but also a profound love for self-expression through movement.
